MANILA — After his star-studded birthday celebration in Nueva Ecija, Vice Ganda received another birthday surprise from his entrepreneur friend Anna Magkawas of Luxe Skin in Taguig City, which was also the launch of their collaboration for an oral sunscreen.

Vice joked, “March ang birthday ko pero hanggang April nagce-celebrate pa rin tayo.”

Part of the “It’s Showtime” host’s advocacy now is promoting self-care, that you have to love and believe in yourself.

“Kaka-celebrate ko lang ng 48th birthday ko. Proud ako sa edad ko. Sino ang gustong magmukhang lusyang, ‘di ba? Gusto natin, 48 tayo, pero we are aging gracefully. Hindi tayo natutuyot. Hindi tayo nalalaos. Mayroon pang isasagad ‘yung ganda natin,” Vice told the media.

The comedy superstar followed this statement with his beauty tips.

“Simple lang kasi ako. Ayaw ko ng komplikasyon. Kasama sa routine ko itong oral sunscreen. Very basic lang talaga ako…Prayers lang,” Vice joked.

“After the pandemic, we are making sure na malusog tayo,” Vice added.

The “It’s Showtime” host emphasized the importance of self-love, saying, “That’s part of self-love —‘yung pag-aalaga mo sa sarili mo. If you’re gonna love other people, if you’re gonna love somebody else, why can’t you love yourself. Sa anong kapasidad, aalagaan mo talaga ang sarili mo.”

Vice said he feels most beautiful when he’s around the people who value him. “I feel most beautiful when I’m around and with people that love me. Kapag kasama ko ang pamilya ko, si Ion (Perez), matatalakik kong kaibigan, I feel most beautiful.”

His advice to people who want to get the confidence they need: “To people who want to be more confident, madali lang ‘yan, just know yourself, accept yourself, and love yourself. You cannot expect everyone to understand, accept, and love you but the last person na hindi dapat tumalikod sa iyo is yourself. Love yourself. Take care of yourself. And be proud of yourself. Yourself is a gift kaya dapat alagaan mo siya at yakapin mo siya.”

The A-list celebrity also talked about his platform, using it to inspire others.

“I have following sa social media and television. That’s power. Paano mo ba gagamitin ang power na ito sa magandang paraan? Aside from making people laugh, aside from giving them fun and good vibes, masarap din na paminsan-minsan na mayroon kang learning or bagong bagay na nai-introduce sa kanila. Marami akong Gen Z and young ones na followers. Dapat nating protektahan ang mga susunod sa atin. Kailangan natin silang turuan kung paano alagaan ang mga sarili nila. Masarap na magamit ang platform ko na makakasama nila sa self-care journey nila,” Vice ended.
