Vice Ganda Asked ‘Anong kinakanta sa simbahan?’ Amid Julie Anne’s Issue (ch)

Vice Ganda had this joke in a recent episode of ‘It’s Showtime’

Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda jokingly asked “Anong kinakanta sa simbahan?” amid the recent viral church performance of Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose.

Julie Anne received criticism from the online community when her video performed Dancing Queen inside the church. After GMA released a statement, taking full responsibility for what happened, the Kapuso singer-actress also shared a post apologizing for the incident.

However, for Angel Locsin’s husband Neil Arce, there was no need for Julie Anne and GMA to release an apology about this matter. The Mamburao Church also released a statement regarding this issue.

Amid this issue, netizens’ attention was caught by what Vice Ganda said during a recent episode of the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime.

Based on the article in Balita, during the Tawag ng Tanghalan segment of the noontime show, Vice and other hosts were interviewing the contestant who sang the song You Are My Destiny by Paul Anka.

The comedian-host commented that the contestant’s voice was fit for the Sunday music vibe when most people are going to church. He asked the contestant what he usually does on Sundays. The contestant said that he goes to church or “nagsisimba.”

Then, Vice asked, “Anong kinakanta sa simbahan?” and he was the one who answered this with, “Dancing Queen. Charot!” The comedian-host easily clarified what he said. “Charot lang, kayo naman! Sinasakyan ko lang ‘yong mga eksena n’yo,” Vice said.

Based on the article, this remark made by Vice Ganda received different reactions. Some people found it hilarious while some are already used to this brand of humor that he has. However, some people said that Vice should be reminded that his show is airing on the GMA network, the home network of Julie Anne.
