Vice Ganda apologizes to Anne Curtis after endorsement joke on 'It's Showtime'

Vice Ganda took to social media to assure netizens that she and Anne Curtis are OK.

On Saturday, a portion of “It’s Showtime” episode made the rounds online, where Vice jokingly led Anne to say a tagline of a brand that is a direct competitor of the actress’s endorsement.

When Anne realized it was a tagline of Vice’s endorsement, she immediately apologized on-air, saying it wasn’t her intention.

On X (formerly Twitter), Anne said there is “no need for negative energy.”

“Vice and I are fine,” she wrote. ” It was a lapse of judgment on both sides.”

“At least we can move forward and be [careful],” she added.

Vice quickly replied to Anne’s tweet, agreeing that what happened was a “lapse of judgment.”

“It was our usual ‘brandagulan’ moment na late niya na-realize so nasabi niya ‘yung tagline ng ‘di niya namalayan,” Vice wrote.

“I apologized to her and pinagtawanan na lang namin,” she added.

“It’s Showtime” airs on GTV at 11:30 a.m. from Mondays to Saturdays.
