Hosts Vhong Navarro, Ogie Alcasid, and Karylle have these statements about the transfer of their program.

VHONG NAVARRO – Its Showtime hosts Vhong Navarro, Ogie Alcasid, and Karylle’s reactions about their show leaving TV5.

ABS-CBN has confirmed in a statement that their noontime show Its Showtime will be leaving TV5 due to massive programming changes in the network. The media company expressed appreciation and gratitude for letting their noontime show be aired for a certain period of time.

They were offered to be on another time slot but respectfully denied it as they value their relationship with their viewers who would always find them during noon.

In a previous article, GMA Network’s senior vice president  Annette Gozon-Valdes shared that ABS-CBN was the one to go to them regarding the transfer of Showtime. And for them, giving the Kapamilya show a home is a “business decision”.

“Yes, it is true that ABS-CBN reached out to us first. We already have collaborations with ABS-CBN,” the GMA exec said.

As this saga of noontime shows continues, Showtime hosts Vhong Navarro, Ogie Alcasid, and Karylle reacted to their confirmed transfer. As per the announcement, their show will start airing this July 1.

Based on a report from ABS-CBN, Alcasid and Navarro expressed their gratitude as another network opened the door for their show. They have a new home now where they can continue what they started 13 years ago.

As for Alcasid who became a regular host from being a “hurado”, what matters most is their “madlang people”. He said, “Ang bottomline diyan, ang madlang people ang dapat nating pasayahin lagi. So ‘yung mga panahon na nag-aalinlangan tayo, di natin alam kung saan tayo pupunta, nakakatuwa na meron na kaming bagong bahay.”

Accordingly, they were told about the transfer a day prior to the official announcement.

Despite the big changes, they understood the turnouts and they are looking forward to this whole new journey with their new home.

Navarro thanked the TV5 while Karylle was mindblown by everything. Despite this, she believed that the decision made, perhaps, for her, ” will be better for the entire industry as a whole.”

“I’m so happy to see that this is how life is moving because it just means more work for the industry,” she added based on the report.
