Actor-host Vhong Navarro emotional after meeting his former scholar.

“It’s Showtime” host Vhong Navarro was touched after hearing the success story of the man who used to be his scholar.

Many celebrities, as a way of giving back and sharing their blessings, use their wealth to support education by sending deserving people to school. They do things like scholarship grants, donations, or establishing foundations focused on the education sector. They make sure to make significant efforts and recently, seeing the fruit of his kindness and generosity was Vhong Navarro.

In a recent episode of It’s Showtime, Navarro met the man who used to be his scholar. He was among the contestants of the “And The Breadwinner Is” segment and he took the opportunity to thank the Showtime team, especially Navarro.

Because of their help, he was able to make it in life and land a good job. Through their kindness and generosity to him way back in 2012, he was able to send his siblings to school and now, they have become the breadwinners of their family.

“2012 po binigyan niyo po ako ng scholarship para makapagtapos po. Ginamit po kayo ni Lord tsaka ng Showtime po para po sa aming lahat,” the contestant shared.

Vhong, on his part, was surprised to see him as it happened a long time ago already and, at the same time, happy. He felt happy and grateful as he used the opportunity in a meaningful way which changed his life and his loved ones.

“Nagulat ako kasi parang medyo matagal na nga. 2012 pa. Pero salamat ha at ginamit mo ng husto at ngayon, kita mo naman,” he quipped.

Vice Ganda congratulated and he, as well, was in glee to hear the success story of Vhong’s former scholar.
