Kapamilya stars Vice Ganda and Ion Perez recently buzzed the online community after the latter was revealed to almost have resigned from It’s Showtime.

It can be recalled that Ion won as the Breakthrough Artist of the Year from an online poll during the LionhearTV Rawr Awards 2019.

Following this news, KAMI learned that Ion’s It’s Showtime family congratulated him for his recent achievement and even gave Ion a trophy in their latest episode.

This prompted Vice to reveal that Ion, at one point, wanted to resign from the noontime show. According to the “Unkabogable Star”, “Ito para lang po sa kaalaman ng lahat, si Ion po ay minsan nang nag-resign dito sa Showtime.

“Dahil sa sobrang bashing na inaabot niya, hindi niya kinakaya, umiiyak siya lagi sa nanay niya. Sabi niya mag-titinda na lang daw siya ulit ng kakanin sa Tarlac, kaya niya naman daw.

“Mag-babantay na lang daw siya sa palengke. Kinausap lang siya ni Direk Bobet at ngayon andito siya dahil kinausap siya ni Direk Bobet para hindi siya huminto sa ginagawa niya.”

Vice’s revelation about Ion garnered various reactions and comments from netizens on social media as well.

As reported earlier by KAMI, Ion Perez was recently recognized by LionhearTV Rawr as Breakthrough Artists of the Year. He was congratulated by Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, and the other hosts of It’s Showtime for his new achievement. He also gave a short message about the award and he admitted that he dedicates it to his partner. Vice and Ion suddenly got emotional while they were talking about the award on national television.

Vice Ganda is one of the most famous celebrities in the Philippines. Aside from hosting It’s Showtime, he also makes blockbuster movies every year. He is currently in a relationship with Ion Perez.
