Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MRTCB) chairperson Lala Sotto has warned Toni Fowler not to include the agency’s name in her statements.
This comes after Toni said that she did not open her music video ‘MPL’, which is currently shrouded in controversy due to its sensitive content, to everyone.
Sotto herself gave her message to Fowler and said that they cannot say that their music video is ‘Rated SPG’ especially since it did not go through the MTRCB.
If it had also gone through the MTRCB, it would not have received an SPG but rather an X rating.
“Somebody who was part of the video had that the video was rated SPG (Strictly Parental Guidance). They should refrain from saying that because, the SPG belongs to the classification system of the MTRCB. And it never went through the MTRCB,” Sotto said.
“Had it gone through the MTRCB, it would never receive an SPG. We would have given that an X rating,” he added.
It can be recalled that the MTRCB said that they do not cover videos that are aired on social media platforms and streaming sites, which is why they urged netizens to join forces and report shows that they believe are ‘rated X’.
Meanwhile, Fowler said that the alcohol that their partner in the music video, XBreezy Babe Papi, who is pregnant, drank was not real.
“Papi actually posted about it, my partner in the house. Because a lot of people are saying why is that, I made her drink alcohol while she was pregnant,” Fowler explained.
“They were just playing with the juice and water to make it look colorful. I would never include a pregnant person and make her drink alcohol just for my music video,” he added.
Netizens are wondering why Fowler’s tail seems to have retreated after the MTRCB issued a statement.
Recently, the influencer seemed to enjoy the criticism he received and said that his critics were only making him rich.
