Joey de Leon showed support for Jose Manalo and Mergene Maranan
Henyo Master Joey de Leon had this generous gift for newlyweds Eat Bulaga host Jose Manalo and former EB Babe Mergene Maranan.
Jose and Mergene’s wedding took place last Tuesday, Dec. 17 at a five-star hotel in Boracay. The ceremony was witnessed by Jose’s Eat Bulaga family, including the iconic trio Joey, Vic, and Tito Sotto.
The couple has been together for many years already and they now have two daughters and they adopted a son.

Based on the article by Pang-Masa entertainment writer Jun Nardo, the wedding ceremony happened on the beach front and the reception was beside the pool near the beach. However, it rained so, it was transferred to the hotel ballroom.
The showbiz writer said that a source revealed that when Joey de Leon arrived and saw Jose Manalo, he asked the groom if he would write “Jose Manalo” on the check.
Jose said that it should be “Ariel” which is his real name. Then, Joey quipped, “Blank check ‘yun!”

Then, Nardo shared an alleged intriguing incident that happened during the wedding ceremony. He said that a female personality displayed “kasupladahan.” Allegedly that female personality was rolling her eyes to the male personality while he was walking on the aisle.
“Nagtama ang mata ng male guest na sikat at female personality na naging bahagi ng career ng sikat na aktor!” the writer shared. It was also said that many people at the wedding witnessed this and saw that the actor almost wanted to disappear at that time because of what the female personality did. The writer did not share any details about the personalities in his blind item.
However, Nardo said that aside from this minor incident, nothing bad happened at Jose Manalo and Mergene Maranan’s wedding.
