In a segment of the show, Jhong Hilario asked the contestant what he wanted to dance. ”Gento,” answered the contestant. “Bawal na daw,” Vice said, adding that they are charging for their song.

“Ay talaga? May ganoon pala. Hindi ba good promo yan for the industry. Sayang,” Anne replied. “Ayaw n’yong try ‘Rampa’ na lang?” Vice suggest to the contestant of the show.

SB19 Ati’n members immediately reacted, saying that the boy band now appears like money as a result of what Vice and Anne said. Netizens are demanding an explanation from the It’s Showtime hosts.

Discussions were sparked chiefly by a tweet by netizen @momshiedivine, who shared a PH Entertainment meme. The meme depicted the two hosts’ responses after a contestant was unable to sing his own copy of SB19’s Gento due to the show’s inability to pay royalty costs.

“Walang sinabing masama? vice and anne are artist as well, alam nila yug performance royalty na tinatawag, mali ung magkakasabi nila.”

“Nagmukhang pera po ang SB19 at ngayon na bash sila. Sinabing naniningil eh samantalang karapatan po ng mga artist yan.”

“Yng cnabing “BAWAL NA NAG PAPABAYAD NA SILA” at “BKIT MAY BAYAD” negative impact po ung Para sa SB19 Lalo Na sa mga viewers walang alam sa pnaguusapan.”
