Here’s what Sanya Lopez said about Marian Rivera
Kapuso actress Sanya Lopez has this reaction when she was called as the “next Marian Rivera” after she renewed her contract with GMA-7.
Marian is tagged as the Kapuso Primetime Queen because of the hit primetime series that she did and with her success in showbiz, she is considered as one of the royalties of the Kapuso network.
Following the GMA contract renewal of Sanya, who played the titular role in the rom-com series First Yaya with veteran actor Gabby Concepcion, she is now being considered as among the A-list stars of GMA, based on the article in NewsKo.
To recall, this project was first offered to Marian but she had to turn it down because she just gave birth with her son Sixto and it will be difficult for her to be in a lock-in taping.
Feeling humbled by this, Sanya Lopez said that she does not think that in her current status in showbiz, she does not deserve to be called as an A-list actress.

When she was told that she many are saying that she is the next Marian Rivera and that their collaboration is being anticipated, the younger actress has this reaction: “Ang dami ko pa pong kailangang patunayan bago po masabi ‘yon! Sobrang galing po ni Ms. Marian – siya lang po talaga. Reyna po talaga.”
On the other hand, Sanya said that she is looking forward to having a project together with the Kapuso Primetime Queen. “Gustung-gusto ko rin po ‘yon at pangarap ko rin po na makasama si Ate Yan,” she said.
Following the success of First Yaya, which is a romantic-comedy, Sanya Lopez is wishing that her next series will be in the same genre, based on the article.
