Actress Ruffa Gutierrez has this reaction to the “intriga” about her friend actress Sunshine Cruz and businessman Atong Ang.
Rumors linking Sunshine and Atong were finally confirmed late last year. The businessman admitted that he and the actress are dating. From this, they became more visible together to the public. They recently attended a wedding as ninong and ninang.
Their relationship garnered polarizing comments on social media. Some showed support and expressed “kilig” to their sweet photos and videos while some criticized the actress as they accused her of being a “gold-digger.”

Some netizens also criticized Atong Ang because of past issues involving his name, including the rumors linking him to former actress Gretchen Barretto and her niece Nicole Barretto.
Just recently, based on the article by Abanter entertainment writer Jun Lalin, Ruffa Gutierrez shared New Year’s photos and videos on her Instagram page and these were grabbed by some content creators.
Ruffa thanked Sunshine for inviting her and her daughter Lorin to a New Year’s Eve celebration in a posh hotel in Parañaque City. Sunshine’s daughters Angelina, Sam, and Cheska were also there.

The entertainment writer who is close to Ruffa shared that one content creator posted an intriguing caption saying that the extravagant celebration was sponsored by Atong. With this, Lalin sent this to Ruffa and she reacted.
“Mga Marites! Magbago na kayong Lahat… 2025 na! Hahaha!” the actress said. Ruffa added that people should mind their own business. Lalin agreed with Ruffa. He said that the actress had nothing to explain about that celebration and what was important was that they had a happy time welcoming 2025.
Previously, a source close to Sunshine Cruz said that the actress stressed that there is no need for her to explain what is going on between her and Atong Ang.
