Sa usaping level up ng friendship nila ni JM de Guzman, heto ang sagot ni Ria Atayde: “Well, I’m not saying it’s not gonna get there…if it does, why not? But for now, we’re good friends.”

Kahit halatang medyo asiwa ay sinagot pa rin ni Ria Atayde ang mga “lovelife” questions ng entertainment press sa after-press con interviews ng #BeauteDermxStarMagic launch kahapon, July 28, sa Seda Vertis Hotel in Quezon City.

Ang panimulang tanong ay kung paano niya ide-describe ang lovelife niya sa ngayon.

“Career first? ’Yon naman po always,” ang matipid na paunang sagot ni Ria.

So, zero as in hindi priority? Giit ng mga mga press.

“It’s not that it’s not the priority…I mean, I’m not really…wala namang manliligaw na nagpe-presintang, ‘Hello, eto ’ko,’ ganyan.”

Dito na naipasok ng press ang pangana ni JM de Guzman, na may katagalan na ring nali-link sa kanya.

“Yeah, yeah, we’re still friends, we still talk…we talk a lot,” say naman ng BeauteDerm endorser.

So, hindi siya nanligaw o naudlot lang?

“Hindi naman po…kasi we still have different like…yon nga, he’s still… It’s only been a year for him, back…so that’s a lot for him to handle, I believe,” esplika ni Ria na ang tinutukoy ay recent na pagbabalik-showbiz ni JM after ng second-time nitong ma-rehab.

Patuloy niya: “And you know…while we both…and I’m not completely okay also…I have my little anxiety attacks, I have my little quirks… So, there are  still things that we both have to fix before anything else…so, yeah, friends, we’re friends.”

Sa sumunod na tanong kung special friends ba ang category nila…”I mean, of course, we’re very close friends…like I really appreciate the friendship that we have and I know he appreciates the friendship that we have, too.”

Isa lang si Ria Atayde (sixth from left) sa siyam na Star Magic talents na mga beauty ambassadors na ngayon ng 10-year-old beauty brand na BeautéDerm Corporation. Kahapon, sabay-sabay silang ini-launch kahit pa mas matagal ng endorsers sina Carlo Aquino at Matt Evans kumpara sa iba. Wala rin kahapon ang isang Star Magic talent na si Arjo Atayde. But the young set is composed of (L-R): Matt Evans, EJ Falcon, Kitkat, Jane Oineza, BeautéDerm CEO Ms. Rhea Anicoche-Tan, Ria Atayde, Carlo Aquino, Ryle Santiago, and actor-politician Alex Castro.
It has never went beyond that?

“Well, I’m not saying it’s not gonna get there…if it does, why not? But for now, we’re good friends.”

Pero sa ngayon daw, mas tututukan muna niya ang career lalo pa’t sunod-sunod ang mga projects na gagawin niya.

“I’m so busy like I’m starting a new show, my show [Halik]  just ended also…then I’m starting a movie also. I can’t say coz I dunno the title yet but the movie is with Regal and the show is with ABS [CBN], of course…it’s a like…how do I explain? It’s not soap , e,” natatawang pagtatapos ni Ria dahil hindi pa siya allowed mag-detalye tungkol sa bagong show.
