Here’s what Lala Sotto said about the issue of Vice Ganda regarding the viral “beso” moment.

MTRCB chair Lala Sotto said this regarding the issue of Vice Ganda after relaying a statement about what happened in one of their segments.

The “nakaw na halik” issue that transpired in It’s Showtime’s “EXpecially For You” has gone a long way. From the issue about putting the Searchee in an embarrassing situation to the statement of Vice Ganda, this story just keeps on getting more tension.

In Vice’s statement about the “nakaw na halik” issue, he took back the apology he expressed to Axel. This was after knowing what the truly felt during that situation which was the opposite of what she said in the video she uploaded speaking about it.

Following this, similar posts vs the ‘It’s Showtime’ host have been spotted uploaded on various social media platforms. He received a string of disappointment from the online community and they were stressing that he “shamed innocent people”.

However, with the similarities noted, isn’t this just another smear campaign just like what happened to Maggie Wilson before?

Meanwhile, amid the loud buzz this issue has created, the chair of Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) Lala Sotto was asked about this. According to her based on the video of Ogie Diaz, she doesn’t have any statement about the issue but she thinks that what the hosts did was proper.

The MTRCB chair said based on the video, “I don’t have an official statement. But, in my opinion, the hosts acted appropriately on the given situation.”

In a previous article, Nikko Natividad shared posts about the issue as well. In a now-deleted Facebook post, Natividad justified the gesture of the female Searcher. He also added that he pitied the parties involved as he knows what it feels like to be humiliated on TV.
