ABS-CBN artist Paulo Avelino has this to share about doing intimate and steamy scenes with screen partner Kim Chiu.

What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? actors Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino have already clarified it in the beginning that they are not a love team. They do not like the stigma of a love team in the country. They would rather have this partnership called as a “tandem” or “onscreen partner”.

After the chemistry people found between them in Linlang, the PH adaptation of the South Korean series was offered to them. However, they accordingly accepted this for the projects itself and the story and not for being a love team.

Previously, they went viral for their intimate scene in WWWSK. Kim spoke about this and as per her statement, it was just done as to how it was done in the original version but with a touch of Pinoy.

Chiu, in one of her interviews, even said, “Mahirap siya, ‘yun na yata ang pinaka-intense kong ginawa for my entire career.”

Speaking about the same matter, Paulo shared that it was awkward at first but through rehearsals and following their director’s instruction, they were able to pull it off. He admitted that he himself feels awkward in doing such scenes but he always puts effort in making the environment comfortable and safe.

But on that particular scene, they were both professional and they did it comfortably.

“Matagal na rin sa industriya si Kim, pero I think never naman nasasanay ‘yung mga actors natin sa mga ganung klaseng eksena. But I hope she felt safe and I hope she was comfortable with me,” he added based on a report from ABS-CBN.

Fans were also gushing about how natural they were in those scenes and as for him, to make it look naturally is the biggest hurdle for the artists like him.
