Actress and businesswoman Matet de Leon aired her frustration on social media last Sunday, December 4, after she felt betrayed by her adoptive mother, veteran actress Nora Aunor.
Matet expressed her disbelief following her mom’s actions, revealing that she was asked to promote a product that was directly competing with hers.
On Instagram, Matet showed her mother’s product as well as hers so that her followers would know why she felt frustrated over the situation.
“Would you do this to your children? HONOR THY FATHER AND MOTHER. HOW? How can I do that now? Ay, AMPON PALA AKO. Nung isang gabi, sinabihan ako na na mag resell na lang ng products ng nanay ko,” she shared.
The actress couldn’t believe that Nora would do such a thing as her mother knew she sells the exact same product.
Matet revealed that Nora reasoned out that she has been doing financially well due to the number of shows she gets that’s why she decided to sell the same product as her daughter’s.
“Pinaghihirapan namin ang pagtitinda. Bakit all of a sudden, nagulat na lang ako, naglabas ang nanay ko ng direktang kumpitensya ng produkto ko. Alam niyang may produkto akong ganyan,” she said.
“Marami naman daw akong taping. Ano sa tingin niyo gagawin ko ngayon? Ano magandang gawin? Kung may anak kayo, GAGAWIN NIYO BA SA MGA ANAK NIYO TO,” she added.
The 39-year-old actress went live on YouTube to further explain her side, particularly why she felt betrayed by her own family.
“I don’t even know her products/ I don’t care. What I do care about is what she did. She sent it to me, parang ‘Look, what I got here!’ Parang ganun ‘yung ginawa eh. So weird,” she continued.
Matet went on to share different experiences she had with the Filipino superstar growing up as an adoptive daughter.
Despite the awkward situation that happened between them, Nora said she still loves her mom.
