Marian Rivera enjoyed working with Sassa Gurl and Esnyr

Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera shared that after working with content creators Sassa Gurl and Esnyr on the movie Balota, she wants to have another project with them.

Marian showcased her deglamorized version in the Cinemalaya film. She wanted a realistic performance for her character, a teacher who did everything to protect a ballot box. With the difficult scenes that she did as her character was escaping, Marian chose not to have a stunt double despite having bruises after the shoot.

The A-list actress received applause from fans and movie critics for her performance. She was recognized as the Cinemalay 2024 Best Actress.

In the movie, Marian Rivera had the chance to work with Sassa Gurl and Esnyr, who are among the funniest content creators in the Philippines nowadays.

The A-list actress said that after this project, she is hoping to have another chance to work again with the two content creators, based on the article in GMA Entertainment. Marian said, “Baka naman kaya natin serious [na project], pero may twist.”

She said that a serious project would be very challenging because of the funny personalities of Sassa Gurl and Esnyr. Marian shared that these two content creators could easily make her laugh without even trying.

“Wala pa silang sinasabi, tawa na ako nang tawa. Mga lukaret ‘yung dalawang ‘yon,” the wife of Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes enthused.

Marian Rivera also said that she is open to working with other content creators. She shared that this was the reason why she invited Sassa Gurl and Esnyr to the premiere night of the movie to dress up like Teacher Emmy, her character in Balota.

“Natuwa ako sa kanila, in-invite ko sila. Alam mo ‘yun, minsan sa ginagawa mo, hindi mo alam kung sino ‘yung nari-reach mo. Na minsan nagkakaroon ng effect sa ‘yo,” the Kapuso actress said.
