Marian Rivera recalled the time when she and Dingdong Dantes were doing the Marimar series

Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera revealed her reaction when her husband Primetime King Dingdong Dantes asked, “siguro naka-prepaid ka lang?”

16 years ago, Marian and Dingdong did their first-ever teleserye together. It was an adaptation of the Mexican telenovela Marimar. Back then, the actress could not imagine getting close to the actor.

She recalled the time when she did her first series with her husband during her guesting on Boy Abunda’s Fast Talk, based on the article in Bandera. “Medyo hindi kami magkasundo sa Marimar. Hindi kami nagpapansinan. Maldita kasi ako, e,” she shared.

The second series that they did together was Dyesebel and that was in 2008. At that time, Marian Rivera share that Dingdong Dantes called her “suplada.”

“Nasabi niya sa akin, ‘Ang suplada mo naman. Tine-text kita, bakit hindi ka nagre-reply? Siguro naka-prepaid ka lang?‘” she shared, adding that she got angry because actually, back then, she was still using a prepaid phone.

They were shooting on an island in Palawan for that series and so she bought a lot of prepaid cards for her cellphone load. “Kapag wala na akong card (load), pumupunta ako sa dulo, nagkakaskas ako para mag-load. Kaya nu’ng sinabi niya na ‘Siguro, naka-prepaid ka…’ kasi totoo na naka-prepaid ako,” the actress shared.

After that incident, Marian Rivera told herself that after her getting her talent fee, she would really buy a post-paid phone. “Kaya sabi ko, kapag sumuweldo ako, after nito, magla-line na ako, kaya naka-line na ako noon after,” she said.

During the interview, the King of Talk asked the Primetime Queen his fast talk questions which have been his signature segment in his show before in the Kapamilya network.

From those projects, the celebrity couple has done several teleseryes and movies already. Their most recent project together is the sitcom Jose and Maria’s Bonggang Villa.
