Marian Rivera shared this story about her and Dingdong Dantes

Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera revealed that what happened between her and her husband Primetime King Dingdong Dantes was not a “love at first sight” love story.

Marian and Dingdong’s closeness started on the set of Marimar. They are now known as one of the power couples in the entertainment industry. Their sweetness over the years is so evident and they are now blessed with two kids, Zia and Sixto.

However, sweet was not the word that can be used to describe the first status of their relationship. In a recent interview on Celeste Tuviera’s YouTube channel, Marian Rivera admitted that Dingdong Dantes was not her type back then.

At that time, their focus was on their job and there were no “pa-cute” moments between them. “Walang magic, walang spark. Wala at all. Wala talaga,” the actress said. She even compared the actor to a goat because of his facial hair.

With this first impression, Marian said that she never thought that she and Dingdong will end up together. She said that she did not like him to the point that it was already near to a “hate” feeling.

“Ayoko sabihing hate but close to ‘hate person’ ko siya. In Tagalog, hindi ko sukat akalain na siya ang mapapangasawa ko, to be honest,” the actress adding that Dingdong was not handsome for her.

 

However, a complete turn happened when she was able to know deeper about her leading man back then. Now, Dingdong Dantes is the real life leading man of Marian Rivera. “Unti-unting nag-360 ‘yung paningin ko sa kanya, nakita ko na ang bait pala niyang tao,” she said.
