It will apparently not be the “Crazy Rich Asians” event we’re all expecting.
Last October 24, Kris Aquino took the internet by surprise by announcing her engagement to former DILG Secretary Mel Sarmiento. She made the big reveal on Instagram, and wrote the sweetest message for her fiancé.
“To my best friend and the man I said yes to spending the rest of my life with, thank you for, as Bimb said, loving me for me, with no agenda, and for being just an overall good and patient man,” Kris wrote on Instagram. “It’s unreal how much more calm & peaceful I feel now that you’re here.”

On November 8, Kris posted a video of a luxurious rose bouquet that was sent to her home. According to the 50-year-old host and actress, it was the most roses she’s received at once!

The grandiose gift led Kris’ followers to wonder if such details would also be present at her wedding. One user commented that they’re specifically anticipating a “grand wedding entrance,” however, Kris quickly denied that it’ll happen.
“I don’t mean to be a spoiler nor disappoint you but our wedding is going to be TINY and super private,” Kris replied. “No entourage. No wedding planner. Totally not what you’re expecting.”

Despite what Kris’ thought, her supporters were not at all disappointed by the revelation. In fact, some still think it will be the wedding of the century!

Other commenters also couldn’t help expressing their admiration for the couple’s decision. “Small intimate weddings are the best. You will get to savor the confirmation of your union with only the closest and most meaningful people to you,” one user said.
