Vice Ganda and Kim Chiu stir conversation online about Karylle’s absence in the noontime show.

Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes visited It’s Showtime and Karylle was absent but Kim Chiu had this slip of the tongue.

“Rewind” Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes visit It’s Showtime on its Saturday episode, December 16. Their appearance is for the promotion of their MMFF 2023 film and many were happy to see them in the Kapamilya show.

Ever since the ABS-CBN and GMA partnered for It’s Showtime, the stars of former rivals can now freely cross from one station to another for projects and appearances.

However, in a previous article, people noticed Karylle’s absence on Showtime at the time of DongYan’s appearance. It is not a secret that these three have quite a controversial history.

In the show, a clip has been circulating online when Kim Chiu had a slip of the tongue.

During one of their segments, Vice Ganda mistook Kim for Karylle. The comedian quipped, “Kim pala. Karylle ba nasabi ko? Kausap ko kasi siya sa phone. Ok naman daw siya. Kumakain. Rehearsal nila.”

However, towards the end of the banter, Kim candidly expressed, “Hi Ate Karylle. Get well soon.”

They were all caught off guard by that but Vice immediately clarified, “Rehearsal nga di ba?”

Kim’s “Get well soon” message for Karylle, on the other hand, matches the post the latter made last December 13. She wrote in a post on X, “Woke up sick so I’ll be missing work for a couple of days! Stay healthy everyone.”

Meanwhile, in DongYan’s appearance on Showtime, they were asked about the things they are grateful for now. According to Dingdong, one of the things he’s grateful for is the chance to be able to work with his wife again in a movie. The last movie they accordingly did was already over a decade ago.

“Kasi sobrang busy po niya, kaya noong binigyan kami ng chance to work together, parang hindi siya trabaho, parang nagde-date lang kami araw-araw. Kaya pinagpapasalamat ko talaga yun,” he expressed.
