Kim Chiu made her reaction to the decision of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon to leave Eat Bulaga.

In an interview with reporters, Kim who’s one of the co-hosts of It’s Showtime said that she didn’t consider TVJ and Eat Bulaga as their competitors as they have no franchise, despite their show being aired on TV5.

“Wala naman kaming ano, franchise. So para you’re just there to, na para… Hindi naman sila kalaban kasi sila, may prangkisa sila” she said.

Kim Chiu hindi tinuturing na karibal ang TVJ at Eat Bulaga: "Hindi namin sila kalaban, kasi sila may prangkisa"

“Parehas-parehas lang kaming maghahatid ng says,” she added.

She also recognized the influence made by TVJ to the public and she highly respected them.

“Walang taong hindi nakakakilala sa kanila. Sobrang taas ng respeto natin sa kanila,” she said.

“So kung ano yung decision nila and whatever is happening sa base nila, it’s for them. But for us, we just have to keep on supporting kung saan man sila mapunta,” she added.

It can be recalled that It’s Showtime’s ratings steadily increased after TVJ left Eat Bulaga.

On June 8, It’s Showtime and Eat Bulaga only have a 0.1% difference in ratings, a sign that the longest-running noontime show was already affected by the decision of TVJ and other original hosts to leave the show.

However, after TVJ decided to transfer to TV5, It’s Showtime’s noon slot might be given to the new show of the Dabarkads.
