Kim Chiu has recently come under scrutiny for a comment she made during the ‘Kalokalike Face 4’ segment of ‘It’s Showtime,’ which featured an unexpected interaction between Bianca Umali and a contestant impersonating Ruru Madrid.

The segment quickly became the talk of social media when Bianca, serving as one of the judges, reacted with surprise and laughter upon seeing the Ruru look-alike. The studio audience was equally thrilled, and the Kapuso actress gamely engaged in playful banter with the impersonator.

The situation took a more intriguing turn when Vice Ganda, the segment’s host, asked a series of questions to see how well the impersonator knew Ruru. Among the questions were details about the first show Ruru and Bianca worked on together and the date of their anniversary—questions that neither Bianca nor the impersonator could answer correctly.

The moment that caught everyone off guard came when Vice Ganda asked the impersonator which actress Ruru and Bianca had supposedly argued over. Without hesitation, the impersonator responded, “Gabbi,” referring to Gabbi Garcia. Bianca was visibly taken aback and could only respond with a surprised, “Hoy!” followed by laughter.

The impersonator quickly tried to backtrack by saying, “Sabi ko po, pa-gabi na po,” making a playful pun on Gabbi Garcia’s name.

However, the situation escalated when Kim Chiu, one of the hosts, chimed in with the name “Gabbi Garcia,” seemingly confirming the impersonator’s claim. This remark sparked criticism from some viewers, who accused Kim of being tactless and stirring unnecessary controversy.

On the other hand, some fans defended Kim, arguing that her comment was meant to be humorous and should not be taken seriously.

This incident brought attention to an interview last year on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,’ where Ruru confirmed that he had a past relationship with Gabbi Garcia before dating his current girlfriend, Bianca Umali. Despite this, there had been no reports of any conflict between Bianca and Ruru regarding Gabbi, leading some to question whether the impersonator’s comment held any truth.
