Kim Atienza was one of the former hosts of It’s Showtime

Kapuso host Kim Atienza shared his thoughts on the partnership between his former noontime show It’s Showtime and GTV, the network also owned by GMA.

Kim was part of the Kapamilya noontime show for many years. When he left the show and eventually transferred to GMA, it is known to many showbiz fans that issues surfaced between him and the hosts of It’s Showtime, especially the meaningful statements, and posts they appeared to be throwing at each other.

It was previously announced that It’s Showtime will start airing on GTV on July 1 because its previous time slot on TV5 will now be occupied by TVJ’s show.

Based on the article in PEP, netizens asked questions about It’s Showtime to Kuya Kim Atienza through their tweets. “I’m happy for them. @itsShowtimeNa will always be family regardless of stations,” he tweeted.

In another tweet from a netizen, Kuya Kim has this reaction, “Life is like that. Nothing is permanent. I’m happy for @itsShowtimeNa family. They will always be dear to me regardless of stations.”

Then, another netizen wondered what would be the reaction of Kuya Kim now that his former noontime show will be on GTV. “Ano kaya ang reaksyon ni Kuya Kim patungkol sa Papalapit na mapapanood ang It’s Showtime sa GTV. since si Kuya Kim is one of the OG hosts into,” the netizen tweeted.

The Kapuso host has a positive answer to this. He pointed out that there is a lot of room in the industry.

“There’s space for everyone. The more shows on free TV, the more options for people to watch. I’m happy for @itsshowtimena and happy for my station@gtvphilippines it’s a win for both,” Kim Atienza said.
