Is it true that Julia Montes will be part of ‘Ang Probinsyano’?
Actress Julia Montes is being rumored to be the new leading lady of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano lead actor Coco Martin.
The long-running Kapamilya series previously featured Jane de Leon as the lead actress following the exit of Yassi Pressman. However, reports recently circulated that Jane is set to start shooting for her Darna series and so she needs to leave Ang Probinsyano.

In a press release statement, ABS-CBN announced that Jane will start the taping for ‘Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series’ this coming September. With this, based on the article by entertainment columnist Jun Lain in NewsKo, Julia will be the new leading lady of Coco.
“Confirmed! Si Julia Montes na ang bagong leading lady ni Coco Martin sa ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,’” Lalin wrote as his article’s opening sentence. The columnist also said that Julia will start the lock-in taping on August 6 as his “very reliable source” confirmed.

“Si Julia na ang kapalit ni Jane (de Leon) sa ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’. Tama lang naman na siya na ang maging leading lady ni Coco hanggang sa ending ng show. Mas maganda naman! Mas exciting! Mas marami ang matutuwa!” the source of Lalin added.
These past few weeks, Julia Montes and Coco Martin’s frequent sightings sparked speculations that they are slowly confirming their rumored relationship. On the other hand, there were speculations that they are about to do a movie project together as they were spotted with Direk Erik Matti and actor JM de Guzman just recently. Some speculated that it was for the rumored plan of Coco to join politics.
