TV host and actor Jhong Hilario pretended to be a contestant on ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ when he returned to the noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’. Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis couldn’t help but get emotional over their fellow hosts’ return.
Jhong was one of the contestants who performed on ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ this Saturday, June 4. The Showtime hosts didn’t recognize him because he had a beard and was wearing glasses, a cap, and a scarf.
You can also see their surprise when he revealed himself while performing.
“Great! We’re complete!” shouted Vhong Navarro.
Jhong also disappeared from Showtime for almost two years because his wife was pregnant in 2020, during the height of the pandemic. He was also afraid that he might bring the virus into their home.
This continued when he ran as a councilor of Makati City for his third term. The actor won.
It can be recalled that Anne Curtis first returned to the noontime show after a two-year hiatus because she and her husband Erwan Heussaff flew to Australia to give birth to Dahlia, their first child.
