Jean Garcia shared her thoughts on working with these Kapuso actors

Seasoned actress Jean Garcia quipped that this is the only thing that changed about Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards.

Jean is one of the most respected actresses in the Philippine entertainment industry. She is considered one of the “prima kontrabida” for portraying antagonist roles superbly.

She has worked with many younger stars over the course of her career. Among the younger generation of stars, these two Kapuso actors received praise from the seasoned actress and they were Alden Richards and MMFF 2024 Best Supporting Actor Ruru Madrid.

Jean was able to work with Alden in the 2019 series The Gift while she was part of Ruru’s Lolong series in 2022 and for its Book 2 this 2025.

Based on the article in PEP, Jean Garcia has nothing but praise for the two Kapuso actors. She was asked if Ruru’s name can now be added next to Alden’s.

“Magka-level na. Oo, oo naman. Oo naman. Mahal ko si Alden, pero mahal ko rin si Ruru. Kasi pareho silang mabuting tao,” the seasoned actress said. She also shared that Alden’s attitude never change and that he is still a good person despite his successful career.

“Kasi si Alden, walang pagbabago. Si Alden, ang pagbabago lang, dumami lang ang pera. Hindi ba?” she quipped. Jean explained that it is not mainly about money but the fact that they are still so humble even though they are now big stars. The seasoned actress said that both Alden and Ruru are “mabuting tao.”

When Jean Garcia was asked who among the younger stars she she thinks are not humble, the actress said, “Itago natin sa pangalang… Ay, hindi ko na alam. Ayoko magsalita!”

She added that nowadays “pasaway” in showbiz is no longer a common thing. The actress also shared that she is not wasting her time paying attention or scolding younger co-stars who are behaving properly. Jean said that she lets the production people handle this kind of co-star.
