ABS-CBN Entertainment and Viu have announced a collaboration for the Filipino adaptation of the popular South Korean series ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim,’ originally aired by ABS-CBN in 2018.
The local adaptation will feature Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino in the lead roles, portraying characters originally played by Park Min-young and Park Seo-joon.
The Viu Original Adaptation, produced by Dreamscape Entertainment, marks the third collaboration between ABS-CBN and Viu for adapting successful international formats.
Scheduled for release in 2024, the series follows the story of a narcissistic vice-chairman and his highly competent secretary, exploring the development of romantic feelings between them.
The partnership aims to resonate with Filipino viewers while showcasing local talent and preserving the charm of the original script. The recent success of ABS-CBN and Viu’s collaboration with GMA Network on ‘Unbreak My Heart’ adds anticipation to this upcoming adaptation.
