THEN AND NOW: How Kim Chiu blossomed from “Chinese Cutie” to “Chinita Princess”

From being the “Chinese Cutie ng Cebu” who fascinated us with her unmistakable charm, admirable personality, and incredible skills and talent as the Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 1, we have witnessed how she blossomed into the “Chinita Princess” many of us are idolizing at the present.

Through the years, we saw Kim Chiu’s remarkable evolution from the once timid yet adorable neophyte into one of this country’s premier leading ladies.

She might be among Philippine show business royalty, but her inspiring journey towards fame and fortune isn’t the typical story that fairy tales offer.

She experienced hardships when she was growing up and used these as motivation to move forward and attain a better life by trying her luck in PBB.

While inside “Bahay Ni Kuya,” she instantly became an image of determination and optimism as she imbued good vibes and inspiration not only to her fellow hopefuls, but also to those who watched the reality show.

Thus, it did not come as a surprise when she was hailed as grand winner by the end of the competition and skyrocketed as one of the country’s brightest stars.

Through her allure, talent, and passion, strings of opportunities poured onto her. In her 12 years in the local entertainment industry, she now has 15 blockbuster hit movies, 39 top-rating shows, 21 chart-topping songs, a bunch of product endorsements, and innumerable awards and recognitions under her belt, and we presume that these numbers would continually grow in the years to come.

Go through the gallery to see her transformation into the versatile, independent, and successful woman she is now.
