Ipinagtapat ni Nico Locco na sinadya niyang manahimik noong kainitan ng isyu tungkol sa “EXpecially For You” segment ng It’s Showtime dahil sa mga batikos na kanyang natanggap mula sa mga tagasuporta ng programa.
Bunsod ito ng social media post ng Philippine-based Canadian actor at host tungkol sa personal na karanasan niya noong Hunyo 2024.
Mensahe ni Nico noon: “Konting rant here kasi l’ve seen it going on for too long.
“Di ko sasabihin any names here… but i think we all know who l’m talking about.
“If you have to make fun of people and take personal shots at them palagi to make people laugh, it’s s0000 not funny. Para sa akin, it’s simply a lack of intelligence and creativity. I’m so tired of seeing it pa ulit ulit on tv.
“I won’t mention the show or network that repeatedly does it pero yeah, you know what I mean. Belittling someone to make people laugh doesn’t make you a comedian. It makes you a bully.

“I would love to see that specific person jump into their shoes for once para maramdaman niya what it feels like. Siguro he or she wouldn’t be laughing anymore.”
Hindi inaasahan ni Nico ang matinding reaksiyon ng mga nakikisimpatiya sa It’s Showtime at at sa host nitong si Vice Ganda.
Sumalang si Nico at ang Vivamax star na si Christine Bermas sa “EXpecially For You” noong May 7, 2024.

NICO LOCCO BREAKS HIS SILENCE
Noong Sabado, Hulyo 20, nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Nico at ipinaliwanag nito ang dahilan ng kanyang biglang pananahimik tungkol sa kontrobersiyang nangyari sa “EXpecially For You.”
Pahayag niya: “I learned well from it. Honest ako sa sarili ko at honest ako sa show so I feel like I didn’t hold anything back.
“And we learn things from life. Maraming lessons sa nangyari and then kasalanan ko na.
“Pero if may lesson ako diyan, that means I am learning.
“Walang perpektong tao sa mundo. I can learn from my mistakes and be a better person, then sige. That’s a blessing in disguise.”
“Nakikisawsaw” ang isa sa mga akusasyon laban kay Nico, pero hindi raw niya pinagsisisihan ang paglalabas niya ng saloobin.
Inamin ni Nico na mali ang desisyon nitong mag-post sa social media ng kanyang opinyon, pero hindi umano mali ang mga pahayag niya.
Saad niya, “Mistake yung ginawa ko [na post] but hindi mistake yung sinabi ko dun sa Showtime. Hindi mistake yung sinabi ko about Vice Ganda.
“It’s all facts, you just watch the show. Nandun yung mga answer.
“It’s hard to say regretful when you look back at it. Kasi ngayon, parang I’ve learned so many things about myself and I’m on this path of getting better.
“If hindi nangyari yan, I don’t think I will be here, so parang ang sakit naman. Ang sakit sa puso.
“It was hard being bashed. Until today, naba-bash ako but that’s okay. That’s part of it… so wala akong regret for joining the show. It is what it is.
“Nangyari na. It shocked everyone. It shocked me, and I think I even shocked Christine.
“Walang regret. That’s me being me.”
Dagdag niya, “Siguro people would say na clout chaser ako.
“The reason why inilabas ko yung statement at that time is because medyo related pa rin yung ‘Expecially,’ and I was a part of that same show.
“What I saw and happened in that show in the following episodes is furthered by my thoughts about what’s happening on that show.
“Sinabi ko lang. That’s what I felt and it’s what’s going on.
“Siguro, it’s also giving awareness to the problem, that’s bullying. We’re watching bullying before our eyes on national TV.”
Posible bang mag-guest siya muli sa It’s Showtime matapos ang nangyari?
“Hindi ko alam, e,” sagot ni Nico.
“Tingnan natin. I never close my doors to opportunities pero siyempre depende sa opportunities, kung ano man yan.”
NICO AND CHRISTINE RECONCILE AFTER “EXPECIALLY FOR YOU”
Sa kabila ng mga negatibong reaksiyon sa social media post ni Nico tungkol sa “Expecially For You,” may positibo itong resulta.
Isang buwan matapos ang guesting nila ni Christine sa It’s Showtime, nalutas ang mga problema sa kanilang relasyon at nagkabalikan sila.

Lahad ni Nico, “We’re working on things. Siguro, I will leave it at that because I don’t wanna jinx anything.
“Like I said, hindi ako perpekto. At si Christine, hindi rin perpekto.
“But that’s life. We just find ways to make things work.
“And sinabi ko sa kanya, ‘We have two options. It’s either we go on our separate ways or try to fix it.’
“And feeling ko sa life nowadays, people just give up. Ako, ayokong mag-give up.
“We thought about it. We really discussed if we wanna give it another chance.
“It’s a collective decision na, okay, try uli yung relationship.
“It was really hard for both of us. We were both going through our own battles.
“So, sabi ko, ‘Let’s take a month to recover, reflect.’
“And I needed time to reflect on myself also and decide kung ano ang gusto ko sa relationship.”
Sa lahat ng mga babaeng nakarelasyon ni Nico, si Christine ang pinakamatagal at ito lamang daw ang kanyang binalikan.

“Si Christine ang pinaka-long relationship, two years and two months,” rebelasyon ni Nico.
“Gusto ko yung ugali niya, sobrang maasikaso, mapagmahal.
“Iba yung feeling ko. I based things a lot on my feelings and how I look at her, how I consider her.
“And parang it’s the first time I felt those feelings for somebody kaya sobrang love ko si Cristine ever since.
“Iba yung feeling. It’s hard to explain. It’s hard to describe but it feels right.”
