Dingdong Dantes defended his partner Marian Rivera against new accusations that she had an altercation with fans during their recent trip to the Middle East (Dubai, UAE, and Doha, Qatar) for a series of shows with Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid. Reports indicated that some fans felt snubbed when they requested photos and autographs from Marian.
Dingdong responded, “During the time we were in Dubai and Doha, we were together most of the time, especially during promotions. I didn’t encounter any such incidents. If there were any, it’s normal for that to happen. You can’t please everyone. Perhaps the request wasn’t fulfilled because it was in a crowded area. I really don’t know about that specific incident because I didn’t see it. For me, news like this is quite normal; I’ve gotten used to it.”
TRIP TO SPAIN
PEP also asked Dingdong about their trip to Spain, where Marian visited her father, Francisco Javier Gracia.
“It was much better than expected,” Dingdong shared. “It was incredibly memorable, with so many moments that you won’t forget. Did Marian and I get to know each other better? Not really, because we already know each other very well. But the experience itself is different. It’s about sharing moments together—things you will keep for a long time.”
Dingdong clarified that there was no engagement during their trip to Spain. “There was none, as that trip was really focused on her reunion with her father,” he explained.
Will they return to Spain?
“If there’s any discussion about that, it’s up to them. As for me, I’ll just support Marian in whatever she decides to do,” Dingdong replied.
