KathDen’s Hello, Love, Again Makes It as Highest-Grossing Filipino Film
HIGHEST-GROSSING FILIPINO FILM – The 2024 romantic movie “Hello, Love, Again” starred by Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards has recorded P1.6 billion earnings.
The on-screen tandem of Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards in the 2019 film Hello, Love, Goodbye received a warm welcome from the viewers of the hit movie. It was directed by blockbuster filmmaker Cathy Garcia.
It was Alden and Kathryn’s first time to work together for a film when they did Hello, Love, Goodbye. They played the characters of Ethan and Joy who were both overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Hong Kong. They fell in love amid knowing that she dreams to go to Canada.
The relationship of Ethan and Joy was not able to stop her from pursuing her dream to go to Canada. He had no choice but to let go of her and allow her to achieve her dream although it meant a long distance relationship for them.

Countless Filipinos were hooked by Hello, Love, Again. It became the highest-grossing Filipino film for a time after hitting Php 691 million in gross income. For around five (5) years, countless KathDen fans and supporters called for a part two of the movie.

In 2023, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera’s movie comeback Rewind snatched the highest-grossing Filipino film tag from Hello, Love, Goodbye after it recorded P845 million in gross income. It was an entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival.
In 2025, Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards gathered the crowd in cinemas once again through the film Hello, Love, Again, a part two of their 2019 movie Hello, Love, Goodbye. It featured the success of Joy in Canada and how Ethan tried to build his life back. The film also showed a flashbacking of what happened to the characters after she left Hong Kong.
Recently, Star Cinema and GMA Pictures announced that Hello, Love, Again is now the highest-grossing Filipino film after recording P1.6 billion. Here’s the post on Instagram:
