After doing separate projects on TV, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera reignite their chemistry on the big screen for the upcoming movie You To Me Are Everything.

This co-production of GMA Films and Regal Entertainment is scheduled to open in cinemas nationwide by May 5. Directed by Mark Reyes, You To Me Are Everything revolves around the endearing love story of Iska (Marian), a cheerful Igorot from Benguet, and Raphael (Dingdong), a well-off son of a politician.

By some fortuitous turn of events, Iska suddenly inherits millions while Raphael finds himself penniless after his father is convicted for corruption. Their paths cross and Raphael is tapped to become Iska’s business manager while Iska, in all her simplicity, serves as a reminder for Raphael to appreciate the beautiful things in his life. As they struggle to adapt to their new status in life, they fall for each other, but their love comes with a price.

The two lead stars of the movie had a press conference last night, April 13, at the Imperial Palace in Quezon City to talk about their latest movie.

When asked to differentiate this project from their 2008 movie, One True Love, Marian said, “First time po namin ni Dong na gumawa ng pelikulang romantic comedy. Tapos ang challenge dito, hindi kami magkakilala at ang personality ko dito, sobrang makulit at ang personality naman niya, sinusupladuhan niya ko. Yung ang challenge dun, kung paano ko siya mapapa-smile.”

For this movie, Dingdong and Marian explored the scenic sites of Baguio and Benguet, which served as the backdrop of the romantic comedy. The boyfriend of Marian described their experience in the strawberry fields of La Trinidad, Benguet, by saying, “Mas maraming beses na kumain kami ng strawberries kaysa sa nag-taping kasi habang naghihintay, talagang pulot kami nang pulot ng strawberries. Although sa set, nagplant na sila dun ng mga fake strawberries para yun ang kukunin namin. Bihira lang kami makarating sa strawberry plantation kaya nilubos talaga namin.”

How different is their personal and working relationship now compared to their first movie together?

“Sa working relationship, medyo mas complicated, unlike before na walang pakialam. Ngayon, we see to it na kumportable ang isa’t isa, much more than noong magkapartner kami dati. Kumbaga, ang level ng caring, times ten ngayon,” declares Dingdong about his tender loving care. “Siyempre, if you’re on the same set, while worrying about your role, inaalaala mo rin kung paano siya in real life.”

For her part, Marian says that working with Dingdong has brought about positive changes for her. “Ako maganda ang naging resulta sa akin na magkasama uli kaming dalawa. Antukin kasi ako, e, pero ngayon pag siya kasama ko sa eksena, hindi ako inaantok, so mas maganda ang resulta. Okay ang relationship namin sa work, para sa akin.”
