In a new episode of ‘Everybody Sing!’, Vice Ganda becomes emotional as he recalls his engagement to Ion Perez.
VICE GANDA – Ion Perez and Vice Ganda got engaged in 2020 and this is one thing that turned Vice Ganda emotional in his show.
The newest episode of “Everybody, Sing!”, the program of Kapamilya superstar Vice Ganda, featured couples who are now engaged. And as he interviewed the couple about this beautiful milestone in their relationship, he suddenly remembered the time he and Ion Perez got engaged.
Vice and Ion have been together for four years now and they “tied the knot” at the Las Vegas Chapel in Nevada, USA. They had a wedding commitment ceremony in late 2021.
However, not a single photo of their proposal has come out on social media. In a recent episode of his show, he explained this and turned emotional as he looked back to what stopped him from sharing this with the world.
“Naiinggit ako kasi hindi ganoon ‘yung naramdaman ko nung nag-propose sa ‘kin si Ion. Naiinis ako kasi hinayaan kong talunin ng takot ‘yung dapat saya kong naramdaman,” he expressed.
According to him, their situation is odd to many people and they will always have something negative to say. And in order to protect their peace and happiness, he had all their photos and videos from the proposal deleted.
He was afraid that people will just bash him and Ion because of their unique situation.
The superstar comedian said, “Ang sarap ng normal, kasi ang normal niyan sa paningin ng marami di ba? ‘Yung babae tsaka lalaki pero ‘yung sa ‘min hindi normal ‘yung tingin sa main.”
He got afraid people that people will only paint negative thoughts on the photos of their engagement if they post them online. And so, he wanted the traces gone. However, one friend of his did not delete a video from this event.
After their wedding, this friend sent it to him and still, he kept it. He wanted this one beautiful thing exclusive to themselves. In a report from ABS-CBN, the comedian shared that he has actually overcome this kind of fear finally.
All that he cares about now is Ion and their feelings for each other.
