Coco Martin talked about his journey in the entertainment industry

Kapamilya actor Coco Martin shared that these are his “puhunan” in having a successful career in show business.

Coco, just like many showbiz personalities, had his humble beginning, doing short appearances until eventually, he became a leading man. Now, he is also directing and helping a lot of celebrities to be part of his projects.

In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, one of the showbiz personalities with who Coco really treasures spending time was the late Susan Roces who taught him a lot. He recalled that the late veteran actress would always remind him of these words, “Huwag mahihiyang magtanong.”

They worked together in the series Ang Probinsyano for many years. The actor shared that Susan would always bring food to their set. He said that the late actress was really generous to everyone, not just to her co-stars but also to the people behind the camera.

Throughout his showbiz journey, he already went through a lot. He approached and asked for help from different people. The actor admitted that when he entered showbiz, he had background and knowledge of how this industry works.

He said that he needed to have guts when he was starting. Eventually, he was able to learn things and everything went smoothly.

Then, Coco Martin shared the “puhunan” that he had. “Ang naging puhunan ko ang lakas ng loob ko, tsaka konting kapal ng mukha, tsaka pagiging matiyaga. Kasi noong sumabak ako sa mundong ito wala akong idea, as in zero, talagang wala akong alam. Pero dahan-dahan, sa pagtatanong ko, natutunan ko siya nang dahan dahan,” the actor said.

Meanwhile, Coco is set to do another Fernando Poe Jr’s project, the Batang Quiapo with Da King’s daughter Lovi Poe. The shooting for this TV series has already started early this month.
