Ang Probinsyano actor-director Coco Martin revealed that this celebrity is his “lucky charm” in the entertainment industry.

Coco is one of the celebrities in the Philippines who started their career with humble beginnings. From doing supporting roles, he became a leading man and eventually ventured into directing as well through his recently-concluded action-drama series.

In his showbiz journey, Coco considered this personality as someone who played an important role in his life, and it is no other than Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano. Based on the article by King of Talk Boy Abunda in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Gary recently had his birthday celebration.

In a recorded video message, Coco Martin shared his message to the birthday celebrator. He thanked Gary for all his support and love. The actor also said that Gary is always present in every teleserye that he made. “Kayo po ang inspirasyon ko, kayo ang lucky charm ko,” he said to the singer.

Coco also said that he admires Gary as a person, as singer, and artist. “Salamat po sa lahat. Kung alam n’yo lang ay sobrang mahal na mahal ko kayo,” the Ang Probinsyano star said. He also shared his wish for the birthday celebrator.

Coco said that he wishes that Gary would always be strong and safe. “God bless you and more power at sana ay magkita ulit tayo sa ASAP. At walang sawa po akong magpapasalamat at yayakapin kayo. I love you,” he said.

Mr. Pure Energy shared that he became close to Coco Martin when he was hospitalized. The actor was one of the celebrities who visited him when he went through surgery. At that time, Coco asked him if he can make a theme song for his teleserye. Gary answered that it has long been since he wrote a song.

“Sabi niya, ‘Hindi po, baka pwede kayong mag-collaborate ni Jonathan Manalo. Pero sir Gary gusto namin ng kanta na hindi lang magiging theme song ng Ang Probinsyano pero ‘yung maaaring theme song din ng buhay ng tao,’” Gary shared what Coco told him.

Because of that conversation, the song Ililigtas Ka Niya was born. Then, Gary Valenciano thanked Coco Martin.
