Charo Santos shared her experience working with Coco Martin
Veteran actress Charo Santos said that she has to be on her toes at all times because her director in Batang Quiapo, Coco Martin, has a different approach.
Charo is an award-winning actress and her record in the Philippine entertainment industry is an inspiration for many younger artists. She gives justice to every role that was given to her.
Over the years, she exhibited the work ethic that she has even when she is not acting. Among her most recent acting project is the TV series that is based on Fernando Poe Jr.’s movie.
Charo Santos plays the character of Lola Tindeng. Based on the article in Manila Bulletin, the veteran actress shared that people would call her by her character name and not Ms. Charo or Charo.
During a recent media conference, the veteran actress shared her experience working with Coco Martin as their director. Aside from being the male lead in the series, the Kapamilya actor also works as the director.
“You have to be on your toes at all times, kasi you can’t predict what he’s going to tell you. An actor working with Coco as co-actor and director has to be quick-witted and fast on the draw,” Charo Santos said.
She added that there were times when she was tempted to say something during the shoot but she would stop herself from doing this. “Then, I hold back, hindi puwede, baka mapadali ang takbo ng kwento,” the actress said.
