The actor shared a video teaser of his new series Maria Clara at Ibarra with Julie Anne San Jose and Barbie Forteza. It is directed by Direk Zig Dulay and written by  Suzette Doctolero who receives tremendous support from other members of the GMA creative team in order to present this series as realistic as it could be.

The said historical portal romance series started airing on October 3 and it has been receiving positive feedback from the viewers. Carla Abellana is apparently one of the avid viewers of the series.

In a recent Instagram post that Dennis Trillo shared, the actress wrote kind words for her fellow Kapuso star. “Dennis, congrats ha. Wala nang dapat pang gumanap bilang Crisostomo Ibarra kundi ikaw,” she wrote. The actor replied to this and he thanked the actress.
