According to Ogie Diaz, the Vice Ganda film is leading this year’s film festival.
VICE GANDA – The ABS-CBN star’s film is “And The Breadwinner Is” and according to Ogie Diaz’s source, it is leading this year’s MMFF.
They say Vice Ganda is “a cultural phenomenon” in the country. From leading a daily noontime show that has been topping in terms of ratings, sold-out concerts, and blockbuster films with some of them topping the Christmas box office, he is indeed a superstar.
This year, the superstar comedian returns to the big screen for the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024 through the film “And The Breadwinner Is” which made it to the final cut of the official entries.
In a previous article, a day after the films were shown online, the top three films of MMFF 2024 that are trending online included this film along with “The Kingdom” and “Green Bones”.
With his wide influence and great prominence, there come high expectations and it looks like his newest film is living up to them. In this film, Vice decided to take a break from comedy and focus on family drama. To a lot of moviegoers who have seen this movie already, this is his best one yet to date.
This is directed by Jun Lana and produced by Star Cinema and The IdeaFirst Company. The film has some comedy in it but there’s depth and substance.
Recently, Ogie Diaz talked about this and his source revealed the top-grosser, so far. According to the source, Vice’s film is leading the list and the next one to it did not even reach half of its gross on the opening day.
