Rumors have swirled regarding actor Donny Pangilinan’s reported attempt to court actress Kathryn Bernardo, as discussed in a recent installment of Ogie Diaz’s ‘Showbiz Update’ vlog.

During the vlog segment, Ogie Diaz, joined by Mama Loi and Tita Jegs, shared insights from a reliable source suggesting that Pangilinan once made romantic advances towards Bernardo.

According to Diaz’s account, Pangilinan purportedly expressed his affection for Bernardo and actively pursued her at a certain point in the past. When pressed for specifics about the timeline of these events, Diaz clarified that it unfolded following Bernardo’s separation from Daniel Padilla.

Diaz also recalled a viral incident wherein Pangilinan was allegedly seen offering Bernardo a soft drink, further fueling speculations about their relationship.

“Basta, ’yon ‘yong nakarating lang sa akin. Ngayon, na kay Donny—ay ano ba ’yan!—nadulas tuloy ako. Hindi, nasa kanya na ’yon kung gusto niyang aminin ‘yan, na minsan pinormahan niya si, or niligawan niya si Kathryn,” Ogie said while laughing.

Additionally, reports surfaced during Robi Domingo and Maiqui Pineda’s wedding, indicating that Pangilinan was observed closely watching over Bernardo during the reception.

Despite these rumors, the alleged courtship between Pangilinan and Bernardo reportedly did not progress beyond a certain point. Various factors, including Pangilinan’s professional partnership with Belle Mariano, may have contributed to the situation.
