It is based on the webtoon of the same name.
On Tuesday, November 21, Dreamscape Entertainment broke the news on social media, confirming weeks of speculations about who will take on the roles of the well-loved characters of Lee Young-joon and Kim Mi-so.
What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? aired on tvN in 2018 with a total of 16 episodes.
What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? is about a handsome and narcissistic vice-chairman of a major corporation. He lives in a seemingly perfect world, but everything changes when his highly competent secretary of many years announces her resignation. He will do everything in his power to keep her by his side, and in the process of doing so, they both start to develop romantic feelings for each other.
Meanwhile, the Philippine adaptation of What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? is a collaboration between ABS-CBN Entertainment, Dreamscape Entertainment, Viu, and CJ Entertainment and Media.
The local remake of What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? is the third K-Drama adaptation of ABS-CBN and Viu following The Broken Marriage Vow and Flower of Evil.
Meanwhile, the news became a top trending topic online, with netizens praising the casting of Paulo and Kim as Vice Chairman and Secretary Kim, respectively.
“Juliana is out. Secretary Kim is in,” one netizen said, referencing the transition of Kim from her character in Linlang to What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?
