Kathryn Bernardo’s prolonged contract renewal with ABS-CBN is now rumored to have been influenced by specific demands, including a restriction on working with her ex-boyfriend, Daniel Padilla.

Showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin shared insights from an undisclosed source on the ‘Showbiz Now Na’ program.

According to Fermin, Kathryn’s extended contract negotiations were due to alterations she sought in the agreement. The changes, reportedly initiated by Kathryn, her lawyer, and parents, included a clause granting Kathryn the authority to choose her leading man in teleseryes or films produced by the network.

However, the most notable demand, as revealed by Fermin’s source, was a stipulation preventing Kathryn from collaborating with Daniel Padilla on any future projects.

She then revealed, “At isa pa, sigurado ‘yung aking source sa kanyang sinabi na isa sa mga pinabago niya, wala muna silang gagawing proyekto ni Daniel Padilla… Nakakalungkot ‘no?”

This revelation has sparked discussions among fans and the public, raising questions about the dynamics of Kathryn and Daniel’s professional relationship moving forward.

The speculation surrounding Kathryn’s contract renewal came to an end on February 2 when she officially signed a new contract with ABS-CBN, solidifying her continued collaboration with the network.
