Is there a conflict between Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino?

Rumor has it that actress Janine Gutierrez does not want to work with actor Paulo Avelino, who was romantically linked to her.

Janine and Paulo’s rumored relationship started to circulate when they worked together in the Kapamilya defunct series Marry Me, Marry You. Their tandem was dubbed PauNine. They shared sweet words but they haven’t directly confirmed their relationship.

It was rumored that Janine and Paulo broke up in August last year. In December 2023, rumors surfaced that they got back together. Paulo was already being linked to Kim Chiu by this time because of their Linlang TV series which was followed by What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.

In February, another version of the rumors surfaced. It was alleged that Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino had indeed broken up.

Just recently, talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz shared in his Showbiz Update vlog that Janine does not want to work with Paulo for now, based on his source. “Ako naman—kahit hindi sabihin ‘yon, ha—syempre ‘di ba ‘di ka muna makikipagtrabaho. Parang wala pang maayos na closure,” he said.

Ogie also mentioned that it can be noticed that before Kim came into the scene, Paulo was not silent about his love life. “Laging nanatiling pribado ang kaniyang lovelife,” the talent manager-vlogger said.

However, Ogie said that when it comes to Kim, Paulo is more open to exchanging banters. “Parang game na game siyang makipagharutan. Game na game siyang makipag-joke. Parang nag-iba na ‘yong landscape ni Paulo,” he said.

Because of this, Ogie’s co-host Mama Loi said that perhaps there is something special in Kim Chiu.

Meanwhile, Kim reacted in a recent interview to the rumors linking her to Paulo. She said that it is overwhelming that fans would ship them and they are thankful for the support they get.
