Ito ang deklarasyon ni GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon kaugnay ng pag-ere ng Kapamilya noontime show na It’s Showtime sa GTV simula sa Sabado, July 1, 2023.
Maituturing na mahalagang kasaysayan sa Philippine noontime television ang pagsasanib-puwersa ng rival networks na GMA-7 at ABS-CBN para sa pagpapalabas ng It’s Showtime sa GTV.
Ang GTV ay ang free-to-air TV network na pagmamay-ari ng GMA-7.
Naganap ang contract signing sa pagitan ng top executives ng GMA-7 at ABS-CBN sa Seda Vertis North Hotel, sa may Quezon City, ngayong Miyerkules ng hapon, June 28.
Sa panig ng GMA-7, dumalo sina Atty. Gozon; Gilberto “Jimmy” Duavit, President and COO; Felipe Yalong, EVP and Chief Financial Officer; at Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, SVP for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and President and CEO of GMA Films.
Kinatawan naman ng ABS-CBN sina Mark Lopez, Chairman; Carlo Katigbak, President and CEO; Cory Vidanes, Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast; at Paul Piedad, OIC – Finance Group.
Siyempre, present din ang halos lahat ng It’s Showtime hosts na kinabibilangan nina Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Ogie Alcasid, Kim Chiu, Jhong Hilario, Amy Perez, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpus, Ryan Bang, Jacqui Gonzaga, Ion Perez, Cianne Dominguez, MC Muah, at Lassy. Wala sina Vhong Navarro at Karylle.
Hosts naman ng contract signing ang Kapuso host na si Iya Villania-Arellano at ang Kapamilya host na si Robi Domingo.
Damang-dama ang excitement sa loob ng venue dahil sa historic moment na ito, lalo na pagkatapos ng contract signing nang isigaw ni Iya, “Welcome to your new home!”
