The teleseryes of Bea Alonzo and Jodi Sta Maria are rivals

Here are the recent ratings of the Widow’s War starring Bea Alonzo and Lavender Fields led by Jodi Sta Maria.

Bea and Jodi have been doing teleseryes since they were just teenagers. Eventually, more mature roles were given to them. Currently, Bea is the lead star in the Kapuso murder mystery series with Carla Abellana.

The newly-launched Kapamilya series features Jodi with Jericho Rosales and Janine Gutierrez and the story revolves around the desire to take revenge.

On Monday, September 2, the Kapuso network declared “war” with the tagline “Giyera na sa GMA Prime,” based on the article in Abante Entertainment.

Aside from the official social media pages of GMA, several celebrities also shared the art card with the said tagline. Some even changed their profile photos featuring the art card. Netizens commented that this might have something to do with the first airing day of Lavender Fields.

Aside from the fact that Widow’s War and Lavender Fields are airing on the same timeslot, the “war” in GMA’s Pulang Araw also started.

Based on NUTAM people ratings, released by AGB Nielsen Philippines, Jodi’s teleserye won over Bea’s teleserye. Widow’s War got 8.8 percent ratings and its delayed telecast got 0.4 percent while Lavender Fields got 9.9 ratings.

Jodi’s TV series is record-breaking because it got the highest rating for a pilot episode in the history of Kapamilya teleseryes airing for its second timeslot in Primetime Bida. Previously, this record was under the teleseryes Can’t Buy Me Love and The Iron Heart.

The teleserye featuring Jodi Sta Maria was also favored online as it got 600,000 peak concurrent online views compared to the 100,000 peak concurrent views that Bea Alonzo’s TV series got.
