Bea Alonzo opened up on why moved to GMA Network at this point in her career.
In an interview with “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” the award-winning actress said the pandemic gave her a chance to reflect on what was really in her heart.
“[When GMA’s offer came], it came at the right time and it just felt right,” she said.
“I follow my heart,” she said. “Kapag magaan, tama. Pati ‘yung pagpapaalam ko sa ABS-CBN.”
(“If it feels light, it’s right. Even when I asked permission from ABS-CBN.”)
Bea admitted that the farewell wasn’t easy and she got “very, very emotional” as it was her home network for 20 years.
“I will never forget everything that they have done for me,” she said in her vlog.
Bea, however, is at peace with her decision to leave.
“[I know] in my heart I got the blessing of my past bosses,” she said. “I know na wala akong tinapakang tao.”
(“I know I’m not stepping on anyone’s toes.”)
The actress also said the move is like a “rebirth” for her and a chance to expand her horizons.
“I’m ready to still chase my dreams,” she said.
