Awra Briguela’s Father Reached Out To Vice Ganda When Actor’s Detained

AWRA BRIGUELA’S FATHER – Vice Ganda revealed that Oneal Briguela requested him then not to instantly take the young actor out from the jail.

In June 2023, countless people were left shocked when news reports about a brawl outside a bar in Poblacion, Makati City involving a popular actor flooded the social media. Child actor Awra Briguela was involved in the said brawl.

Awra was undeniably one of the most popular actors of her generation. However, the said incident left him in bad light and earned him a lot of negative criticisms. The actor was detained and faced several charges.

A lot of celebrities expressed their concern to Awra who is close to many people in the showbiz industry. One of her closest friends in the industry is Vice Ganda who received a request from his father, Oneal Briguela.

 

In a recent vlog, Vice Ganda revealed that Awra Briguela’s father reached out to him and made a request. However, the request was not to take his son out from the jail right away but to actually delay his release in the hope that he will realize things.

“Gusto niyang maranasan mo yung epekto noon sa iyo. Na iyong part na iyon ng life mo, hindi mo pwedeng takasan agad,” Vice said about the request of Awra’s father.

The comedian tagged the move of Awra Briguela’s father as a form of “tough love” for his son that he wanted him to learn from what happened. He stressed that his father was not tolerating Awra and he did not reach out to him for a favor for the release of his son.

The young actor admitted that he was too much during that time. He partied almost every day in the pursuit to stay away from his problems. In a recently-penned open letter, Awra Briguela expressed his apology to his family.

The family of Awra, most especially his siblings, did not leave him behind amid his situation after the brawl. However, he also admitted in the vlog that while his relationship with his father is getting better, they are still not totally okay.

According to the young actor, it may take some time before they will be okay. Meanwhile, in his open letter, he apologized to his parents and promised to exert an effort to be better. He apologized for not having the courage to face his problems and, instead, chose to escape from it through temporary pleasures.
