Anne Curtis and Vice Ganda’s “brandagulan” created speculations that it became a conflict between them

Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis shared this post after her “brandagulan” on It’s Showtime with comedian-host Vice Ganda went viral.

To recall, in one of the recent episodes of the Kapamilya noontime show, Vice and Anne had their usual banter regarding the brands they are endorsing. The actress is an endorser of the Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee while Vice became an endorser of the American fast-food chain McDonald’s last year.

In Vice’s advertisement, he said the tagline “Nice Ganda.” During their usual banter, the comedian-host made the actress say that.

Without realizing at first that it was Vice Ganda’s tagline in his McDo commercial, Anne Curtis said the line. Then, she realized that it was used for the rival company of Jollibee. Their “brandagulan” captured the attention of many netizens.

After that, Anne had her “bawi” post. She shared a video of her eating a meal from the fast-food chain she is endorsing.

With what happened in the Kapamilya noontime show, apparently, some netizens speculated that it caused a conflict between the two celebrities. However, in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Anne clarified that she and Vice are okay.

“Morning everyone. Guys, kalma. No need for such negative energy. Vice and I are fine. It was a lapse of judgment on both sides. At least we can move forward and be keyrfuul. Ganyan ang biriun backstage but syempre dapat iba pag on air. Kaya kalma. It’s a beautiful day. Gawin na lang #BidaAngSaya every day!” Anne wrote in her tweet.

Vice Ganda reposted this with a reaction. He jokingly said that Anne is KJ or killjoy for clarifying this issue immediately. “Ang kj mo! Ok yan para trending! Chozzz!!!” he said in jest.

The comedian-host said that it was indeed a lapse of judgment. He also stressed that it was their usual “brandagulan” and it was too late for them to realize that he made Anne say his tagline. Vice also said that he apologized to his co-host about this and they just laughed at it after. “Our sisterhood will always be Nice Ganda!” he said.
