It’s Showtime hosts meet their Kalokalike

As strange as it may seem, it is believed that each one of us has several lookalikes. While some are still probably wondering where they can find theirs, others have already met them face-to-face and have even spoken with them! Among them are the “It’s Showtime” hosts, who have crossed paths with their doppelgangers through the previous seasons of the “Kalokalike” segment.

And in the ongoing “Kalokalike Season 4,” five of the current hosts already had amusing encounters with their impersonators. Let’s revisit those in this edition of Kapamilya Update!

The first one to dare claim that he’s a lookalike of an “t’s Showtime” host was Derwin Rodriguez, who introduced himself as the “kalokalike” of Lassy from Palawan. Derwin indeed got the approval of the comedian, as he didn’t only get to share the stage with Lassy in performing “Sumayaw, Sumunod,” but he got to banter with him too.

Jhong Hilario has also found his doppelganger when Ernesto Escobia of San Mateo, Rizal joined the segment. Ernesto didn’t only replicate the host’s OOTD, but also a few dance moves and trends that he popularized through the years. Besides, they even had an acting showdown, where Jhong showcased a piece of his compelling portrayal of Alakdan, his infamous character in the iconic action-drama series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

There seemed to be a confusion when Teddy Corpuz’s impersonator, JT Tibayan of Alfonso, Cavite, appeared on the stage of “It’s Showtime,” looking quite exactly like him. Aside from having performing Rocksteddy’s notable hit “Superhero,” JT also had the opportunity to briefly switch lives with the rockstar-slash-host as he sat alongside the other hurados, while the real Teddy was one left on the stage, making an impersonation of himself.

For sure, Jazreel Dela Paz, a.k.a. Jackie Gonzaga’s “kalokalike” from Las Pinas City, truly astonished the madlang people when she graced the “It’s Showtime” stage. Despite not having the same height, Jazreel still nailed her impersonation of Jackie, from the outfit and physical features to the talent, energy, and personality. In fact, the Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda commented that they were like “pinagbiyak na manga.”

And lastly, Ogie Alcasid apparently felt ‘embarrassed’ when the copycat of his popular alter ego, “Boy Pick Up,” joined the competition. From the way he dressed up and spoke up to the silly signature pick-up lines of the said character, contestant JR Nambatac’s impression of him was undoubtedly on-point. He also got the approval of the OG, who heeded his co-hosts’ request for them to have an on-the-spot flip top battle with the Regine Velasquez “kalokalike” as judge.

Were you able to catch these hilarious encounters of the hosts with their doppelgangers, Kapamilya?
