Fans trolled WNBA analysts Monica McNutt and Carolyn Peck after they admitted that Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever would be a problem in the playoffs. McNutt and Peck had previously picked Angel Reese over Clark for Rookie of the Year earlier in the season.
But after the Olympic break, Clark and her team have picked up the pace and improved their record to 19-17. They have already clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2016.
Before the Olympic break, Clark put up 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists. When the season resumed, the Fever quickly took over the league, with the help of their rookie guard. The former Iowa star averaged 24.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 9.3 assists in the 10 games they’ve played since resuming the season.

With Clark and the Fever’s recent play, McNutt and Peck shared on Monday how they can be a threat in the postseason.
“In the bottom half, I think that Indiana is a problem and the way that they are playing as of late,” Peck said. “When you look at the numbers of what Caitlin Clark has done. Her improvement and how she has adjusted to the speed of the game, and her players have gotten used to playing with her.”
“It also looks like they’re playing with joy, they are jelling and having fun,” McNutt added.
Caitlin Clark fans certainly took notice of the two analysts changing their tune and trolled them for it.
“Peck and Mcnutt hating life as they have to finally come around and acknowledge reality,” one fan said.

Caitlin Clark continues to make history
Caitlin Clark led the Fever to a 104-100 win against the Atlanta Dream on Sunday. Clark finished with 26 points, 12 assists and five rebounds. She became the fastest WNBA player to reach 300 assists in a season. Her double-double from their recent win was her 14th of the season, which is a new franchise record.
In addition to that record, Clark extended her rookie record for 3-pointers made to 111. She has blown past Rhyne Howard’s record of 85 3-pointers back in 2022.
