Marking It’s Showtime marking its 15th year on October 24, hosts Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, and Kim Chiu shared with PUSH what greatest lesson they have learned in the past years of making their “Madlang People” happy.
During their media conference ahead of their Magpasikat week, two of the show’s longest-serving hosts, Vice and Vhong, told PUSH that “keep going on” and “moving forward” in life is something that they have gained from the challenges and triumphs in the past years.
“The best thing that I’ve learned – that most of us learned in our 15 years is to just keep on going. For the past years we just had to keep on going. Kasi, what if we decided to stop? What if we decided to quit? Meron ba tayong pinagdiriwang ngayon, ‘di ba? So, it was all worth it. All the pain, all the tears, all the – everything. Every single experience, it was all worth it,” Vice said.
She went on: “We just have to keep on going kasi that how you live ‘di ba? You try, you win, sometimes you do not win, you just have to try again and just live, ‘di ba? Hindi mo siya pwedeng ihinto.”
The Unkabogable Star also said how he sees It’s Showtime as not just his work but his life.
For Vhong, being a host of the popular noontime show also taught them to prioritize making sure that made their audience happy.
Chinita Princess Kim Chiu expressed how it is to be part of the growing and stronger It’s Showtime family.
“Ang ‘Showtime’ kasi hindi lang siya basta house, ‘Showtime’ is a home na nandu’n ‘yung iba’t ibang klase ng tao. Dito kasi meron ako ditong ate, kuya, nanay, tatay, so, para siyang isang malaking bahay,” she said.
Kim also noted how each member of their family, from the hosts to its production staff, has been helping each other to grow and become better.
“Akala ko hanggang du’n lang ang kaya ko pero dahil sa mga ate, kuya, nanay, tatay ko, parang ang dami pa palang pwedeng mangyari and ang dami pa palang pwedeng matutunan,” she added.
“‘Pag nandito ka na sa stage na ‘to ang tanging gagawin mo lang ay magpasaya ng madlang people and ‘yun ‘yung isa sa mga natutunan ko talaga na ang daming nangyayari dito sa Showtime but at the end of the day we just want make each and every madlang people happy, inspired, ganyan,” Kim remarked.
